Problem with Pocket PC sync

Remember also that you can have as many categories per contact as you want,
which in many ways makes it better than using folders because a contact in
both business and personal (for example) will...

Problem with Pocket PC sync

Activesync will only sync with the main folder - there is no way to make it
do otherwise - because you can't have folders within contacts on the PPC.

You can either move all the contacts to the...

Can a folder containing received emails be sent through email?

Why not just select all the mails that need to be sent, then drag them
(together) into the new message?

Active Sync Contacts problem

I don't think you can sync a Palm OS device using Active Sync. ActiveSync is

remove the "+" symbol in front of phone numbers

It must be about the only phone in the world that won't then!

When you say long distance, do you mean international? A mobile phone will
interpret the + as a double zero, so if you've put the plus...

BEWARE - Disappointed, Outlook is NOT a good contact management sy

I think the problem is that Outlook, though not designed as a contact
manager possibly, has just enough in it to raise expectations, but not
enough to meet them ;)

I do find Outlook is lacking...

How do i merge a contact sub folder with the main folder for sync

Depends what you are syncing with, but I do this with my Pocket PC using
Pocket Mirror (Google it). That allows you to keep the contacts in separate
folders on the desktop, which is very handy for...

Russ,

I've always been confused by this issue of address book vs. Outlook

Keeping track of mail merges

Thanks Judy. I've become so conditioned to NOT adding any custom fields
because just about every item in Outlook gets synced with my Pocket PC, and
custom fields don't sync, that that idea didn't...

Keeping track of mail merges

Well I did think of that, but already use categories in the folder for other
purposes, so it would be a bit difficult I think.

In fact flags don't work anyway, even if I spend the time manually...

contacts in Outlook and do the actual merge, but...

Do you want to copy the whole contact, or just addresses from it?

To copy the whole contact, drag it from the original list to the new one,
hold down Ctrl, and then release. If you don't hold down...

UK area codes

Ah yes, I just tried that, and can't do a + followed by a space. I'm not
sure I can offer any other help I'm afraid.

Out of interest, why do you need the space? I format mine as "+44 1425
234567",...

I do this all the time in OL2003. Just type the number exactly as you want
it formatted, into the text field on the contact form. DON'T enter it by
clicking on the name of the field (e.g. "Home"),...
