Hello people. My boss wants me to figure out whether it is possible to
suppress meeting availability details, so that when someone tries to check her availability to book a meeting they should just be able to see whether she is available or not, rather than finding out who is she meeting and the nature of the meeting. Is this possible in an Exchange 2003 Outlook 2003/2007 envrionment. Can this be done using built-in tools? I have tried using the private appointment feature, but that only applies to new meetings, and not pre-existing meetings, and then its only applicable to the client machine the "private appointment" has been configured. Thank you in advance for your help. |

R-click on the calendar folder, choose properties - what permissions does
Default (and others) have? None should give those with that permission level blocks of time marked off as busy, tentative, or out of office. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. It is set as default, none, and the details are still visible.

You're looking at your free/busy when logged into an account with None
permission? The setting won't affect what you see when logged into your profile. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
