Default Outlook 2007 To Do bar problem

I have Outlook 2007 running on Vista Home Premium with all updates applied. When I launch Olutlook the To Do bar does not list tasks. In the space for the task it says "The operation failed. An object could not be found." Later there is a balloon that pops up saying something about not finding reminders.

This feature used to work, then became erratic, and now has disappeared. Am I doing something wrong?

try office diagnostics, then reset the views on the to-do folder (do it from
the tasks module).
