Do you mean that the pst is inaccessible, even after running scanpst?

I have a similar problem. Most times when i start Outlook it gives me an
error message something like this: "A Data File did not close properly last time and about two more lines of text" It starts a scan and Outlook is totally unuseable while that scan runs. I don't recall this error prior to installing the Outlook2007-kb933493-fulfile-x86-glb update. This update was supposedd to speed Outlook up when you had large mailboxes. It just made things worse. Any ideas Jon |

I got the same problem. I have taken out all the add-ons. I tested with a new .pst file and then every thing works good. But when I imported al the old emails back in I get the same error all over again. I don’t know what to do any more. That's exactly when my problems started. When I installed the update.
And no I don't have a fix. "PaintedHorse" wrote: I have a similar problem. Yes I sync to a Cell phone/pda running Windows Mobile occassionally. I use
the feature to keep my phone number current. So once aweek or so I connect the phone. I've had the same problem. After the update, my extremely large .pst archive
file (a bit over 5 gig) shows errors even after running scanpst. I'm willing to bust the big file up into smaller files (which is how it was before the 2007 came out), but the new software was supposed to be able to handle large files up to 20 gig. HELP!!!
