Is there a way to open link from within Vista Mail and Outlook messages in Firefox instead of IE7? I have FF already set as my default browser, but Mail and Outlook still open links in IE. Is ther a reg hack for this if I need to go that route? Thanks, Tom |

No, it is set to default, and even if I try again, it says that it is
already the default browser, any other suggestions are welcome. I have the same problem with FF.
I've also noticed this with multimedia extensions. When I install WinAmp I told it to associate all multimedia files to open with winamp. It still opens with Media PLayer. Something smells fishy to me. Tom wrote: No, it is set to default, and even if I try again, it says that it is already the default browser, any other suggestions are welcome. This is a bug in Firefox. I'm not sure if it is a problem for all,
but it is for quite a few. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox...senotes/#vista Firefox can not yet be set as the default browser on Vista. This really isn't an outlook question - it's controlled by the OS. Anyway,
what is the setting in the default programs applet in control panel - look under the set access options. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Tom" wrote in message ...
