Default What's the right way to import a PST file?

I've got Outlook 2000 SP3 on Windows 2000 Professional; I need to import
three PST files which originally were on a Mac version of Outlook (exported
from Outlook 2001 for Mac OS9). I've got them on my PC, and have run
scanpst.exe on them until there were no errors (the first time there were,
and it supposedly fixed them). I want to import these messages into my
personal folders on Outlook but have had no luck. Can someone tell me the
right way? Btw, the whole point of this is to then use Outlook2Mac to get
these into Entourage on my Mac (since the Mac version of Microsoft's
Entourage can not import Outlook files in any other way)...

Thanks in advance,

Mike

In our world we never export or import PST files since they are Outlook's
native format. We simply open them in Outlook.
"Have had no luck" doesn't really tell us much. I have no idea how their
previous existence on a Mac would alter things, but it's hard to imagine
that importing them would improve on anything.

You have to open a pst file (File / Open / pst file)

Hmmm. Tried it, and it added a personal folder to my folder tree, but it
seems empty, even though the PST file is over a gig in size!

yep! That's where I started; all of these methods assume my PST file opens
correctly on the PC end. Unfortunately, it doesn't - it works in my Mac
Outlook, but the PC can't seem to import it.

Did you display the Folder List navigation pane so you can see all the folders in that .pst file?

sorry - "have no luck" meant that a personal folder appears on my Outlook
folder list but there seems to be nothing there, even though I added a ..pst
file with about 1 gig of emails in it, and the scanpst.exe says there's
nothing wrong with them. These were created on a Mac to begin with, and the
reason to import them on a PC is to use this Outlook2Mac utility which
unfortunately only exists on PCs...
