Default Problem Installing latest Outlook 2003 Junk Filer Update

This update refuses to install. I get the message that "An unavailable
network source is needed" (or words to that effect). The Network source is
this:
D:\MSOCache\All Users\90000409-6000-11D3-8CFE-0150048383C9\

There is NO D:\MSOCache\ folder (and yes I have enabled hidden and system
files) and in any case that's not where Office 2003 was installed from.
I navigate to PRO11.msi file on my Office 2003 CD, select it (that's the
file the update is asking for) and nothing happens! I just get a box saying
"Update Failed".
How useful is THAT, MS? No detail as to WHY the update failed. Presumably
that would be too useful, wouldn't it?

Anyway, can anyone suggest how I might be able to install this update?

Thanks

Is your Office Source Engine enabled under your system services? Did you
move the msocache file using the LIS Tool? Did you check the installation
log for why it failed?

After furious head scratching, Gordon asked:

how do I check that?

Did you move the msocache file using the LIS Tool?

Nope - but there's no MSOCache folder anywhere on my machine. (What's the
"LIS" tool?)

Did you check the installation log for why it failed?

No - where do I find it?

Problem solved using Ofice Update site rather than automatic updating on XP.
