I use OutlookExpress for emailing. My OS is WinXP Pro SP2.
In most cases, when I open and read a new email, the new email icon in system tray disappears. But once in a while, the email icon still remains in the system tray even after deletion of the all new emails. Is there anyway to fix this problem? Craig |

OE Tools Options General Check for new messages every XX minutes:
What's selected here? Is your anti-virus application configured to scan incoming & outgoing mail? When checked, new message every "10 minutes".
Is your anti-virus application configured to scan incoming & outgoing mail? Norton Antivirus is running. Are you running an anti-spam application? Only anti-spam is Windows defender. Disable Norton's email scan as it offers no added protection and can cause
problems with OE. Could you please more specific on this line? I have been using NAV for zillions of years. I always thought that NAV protected almost everything because I have a blind trust in NAV somehow. I am surprised to see that it does not protect. Please enlighten me.
