Default Blocked Senders List

Thank you so much Bruce...that worked! I needed that roadmap. However, I
didn't find any "GUID" in the list...is that significant?

The Blocked Senders registry key is damaged.

1.. Close OE and then In Regedit, navigate to this key:

|--HKEY_CURRENT_USER
|-----Identities
|--------{GUID}
|-----------Software
|--------------Microsoft
|-----------------Outlook Express
|--------------------5.0

where GUID is the Global Unique IDentifier for your Identity.

2.. Under that key, you will find the following sub-keys, among
others:

|-----------------------Block Senders
|-----------------------Rules
|-----------------------Signatures

Select the Block Senders Key and delete it. Blocked Senders will be empty,
but you can rebuild it now.

I am using Windows XP Home with IE8, OE6. Just recently my blocked senders
list cleaned itself out (?) and now I can't get anything to stay. What's
up with that?
Thanks
Joni

See Bruce's reply.

You can have a maximum of 4,096 Message Rules & Blocked Senders: Maybe
you'd blocked too many senders?

You're welcome. The GUID is that long string of letters and numbers. You
found it. You just didn't realize it. wink

Thats not a lot really. Especially when you look at how many newsgroup
spammers & trolls there are.
I reckon this is why mine isnt working then.
Is there a fast way to edit the blocked senders list WITHOUT using OE?
IE:- some way of opening it and deleting a shedload of info from it then
saving it.
Because I dont really want to delete my news rules
