To eliminate that error, you must install Outlook in Corporate Mode rather

With IMAP messages you need to purge them from the server. With OE open,
click F1 key and enter Purge IMAP to review the Help info about how to do

The port number for sending mail with Comcast should be 25 and not 587.
Make sure that you do not have *ANY* antispam or antivirus program set to
scan email and reset the port under Tools/Accounts...
