Default Tasks

We are using Outlook 2003 with Windows XP and routing through a Citrix
server, which always seems to complicate things. I am really struggling. We
are trying to setup a public calendar on which we can control the 150-200
reports that are due each month from various users around the world.

I setup a custom "Task" but I am not able to display it on the calendar.
Must I use an appointment form to have it show on the calendar?

I have Sue's Outlook Programming book as well as three other books, but when
I get into one subject...well, I have to admit that I get off onto some other
tangent and haven't arrive at a solution after three days.

Can you help?

Yes, calendar folders show appointments. You need a task folder to show
tasks. In Outlook 2007, tasks can appear at the bottom of days on daily and
weekly calendars, but only tasks from your own default Tasks folder, not
from a public folder.

Thanks for your help Sue - your book is wonderful! I have learned so much
from it. I eventually setup a custom appt page to resolve our problem. I
have another question now but I'll list it as a separate from this question
and I'll look to see if it has been addressed before I ask.
