That's not what I was suggested. I was suggesting that you completely clear the *local* cache. The command in Outlook just deletes the Frmcache.dat file. To completely clear the cache, you also need to delete all the subfolders in the Forms folder where Frmcache.dat is also located.

Did you check the form setting for the Forward action, as I suggested earlier? It should be set to use the same published form.

for some reason this thread is repeatede over and over for me?
Anyway, We are getting the same error, we have a custom form that has a text box to put in a project number on emails in which it ads to the category of the email and carbon copies it to our filing system. It all works fine in 2007, but when you go to forward an email it pops up with that message. I tried 'designing' the template in 2007, and saving it again, that seemed to fix it - ie just open the form in 2007 and save it again, but I forgot to turn off my signature, and when I went back and got rid of it it broke it again!! So now I'm back to square one. There's another error thats happening but thats another thread. |

If you have been using custom forms, you should have more in that folder than those two files. Make sure that Windows Explorer is set to show hidden and system files and folders.
Still looking for your answer to my question about the form setting for the Forward action. It should be set to use the same published form, not the standard Message form. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Microsoft Outlook 2007 Programming: Jumpstart for Power Users and Administrators http://www.outlookcode.com/article.aspx?id=54 "Azwaros" wrote in message ... Sue,
I have tried all you have posted in this thread, deleted the FRMCACHE.DAT from the forms folder, and also deleted 'IPM.Note.bw_std' which is the name of our custom form - those are the only 2 things in that folder, and yes I have view system/hidden files on. I opened a form and it installed it on my machine again- I can forward messages fine that are sent by people internally (ie sent from people who are using the standard form) but anything we recieve from external (ie who haven't used our form) we can't forward. Some (but not all) people have no trouble forwarding emails from within their inbox - but no one in the office can forward emails from external people that are in the public folders. The custom form actions have not changed since last week when we were using outlook 2003, Forward is Enabled, creates form of type BW_Std (which is our custom form), address form like 'Forward', When Responding respects users default, and adds prefix FW to it. - All standard stuff, and all of this was working fine and still does work fine in outlook 2003. |
