Some FOrms that we have on microsoft exchange work fine via outlook 2003.
however we're now evaluating wether we sould upgrade to Outlook 2007 and when trying to forward a form we get the following message "the messaging interface has returned an unknown error" Not a very helpful error message, has anyone encountered this bug beforfe and are they able to offer resolution or let me know where to start looking? Thanks In Advance |

Where is the form published? Is the Forward action set up to use the published form? Did you try clearing the forms cache?

Thanks for the reply Sue.
The form is posted in our "Organizational Forms Library". I'm using the forward button on the tool bar, not a forward button built into the form. I am unsure how I would clear the forms cache. The forward issue is extremely relevant. Check it in your form design, on the (Actions) page.

Sue, sorry for the delay in writing to you, the link you have does not detail
office 2007 problems, I have installed it locally on my machine (I was connecting through citrix) and I am still having the same problem. Any other solutions I can try? Last post did not accept I think hope I'm not double posting. Sue I have
eventually got a local copy of outlook 2007 installed locally on my pc, the forward option in actions is there and set to respect users default, I have looked at the link you sent for clearing the cache but the instructions on the link seem to be out of date and not relevant to outlook 2007 as I cannot find Frmcache.dat. prior to the error message I caught a quick flash of a progress bar saying "copying form to your (something, not sure what, as it displayed fast and now I no longer see the message and only get the messaging interface error)" "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: The forward issue is extremely relevant. After trying all suggested I still have this problem, is there any resolution
available yet? "Azwaros" wrote: Last post did not accept I think hope I'm not double posting. I cleared the forms cache as suggested, not sure how I go about deleting all
the forms on an exchange server and I doubt our exchange team would let us.
