This post seems to have gotten off track and never answered my question. Why
does Outlook insert all three email address vs. giving me a choice like other email clients? Its annoying to have all email addresses inserted then have to take away the ones I don't want to send the email address to, e.g., If I have a personal address and work address for a contact and this is a personal email shouldn't I be able to choose the personal email address before inserting? Ciao Darrell "Brian Tillman" wrote: brainstewn wrote: Ok so if there is no address book and its just a view of contacts how come the address book doesn't have contacts in there that are in contacts and on autofill? Because your autocompletion cache is just a record of the addresses you've entered as recipient addresses and does not access your Contacts in any way whatsoever. Outlook only inserts all 3 addresses if you tell it to by using Actions
New Message to Contact. You can easily insert only one address if you want by using autocompletion, autoresolution, or the Outlook Address Book to select your recipient or by just typing the address in the To: field. It is no different than any other email client. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "brainstewn" wrote in message news ![]() This post seems to have gotten off track and never answered my question. Hi Russ:
You answered my question but you are mis-informed. Thunderbird, Incredimail and others I've used in the past have a pop-up/dropdown window from within the client asking which email you want to use. It's very similar to "auto completion" only nicer. Plus I've seen Apple's email client in action and it too affords the user an option. Typical Microsoft ... I expect to much from the Dominate one but must comply if I want use of other powerful software such as Maximizer Ciao! Stuck between Microsoft and Hard Place waiting for apple business apps to emerge. My point is that Outlook provides ample opportunity for you to select which
address you want to use. Most of don't need to be prompted for that. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "brainstewn" wrote in message ... Hi Russ: You answered my question but you are mis-informed.
