None of my contacts appear in the address book.
Windows Vista Business running Outlook 2007. I used Windows Easy Transfer to transfer my Outlook information from a computer with Windows XP Pro and Outlook XP. When I right-click "Contacts" and examine Properties | Outlook Address Book the option to "Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book is dimmed. In Tools | Account Settings | Address Book the "Outlook Address Book" appears but cannot be removed ("Remove" is dimmed). Any attempt to add a new additional address book of type Outlook Address Book yields the message "This account or directory type already exists and cannot be specified twice" I mention the above because they are the results of my attempting to follow directions suggested here and on Microsoft's official help site. Thanks, Richard |

You will find this answer posted here many times.
You should never use WET with Outlook. It does not work. It creates a corrupt profile to which you cannot add the address book service. Create a new profile from scratch and then use the directions posted here to add and configure the Outlook Address Book. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Richard" wrote in message ...
