When a contact is sent via email, opened and then saved, is there a way to
choose which contact folder (if more than one contact folder exists) to save the information to? Or, is there a setting that forces Outlook to prompt for which contact folder to save a new contact to? |

You can move it to another folder when you save it. Method varies with your
Outlook version which you did not bother to post. I'm sure you'll find it. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "That Office Girl" That Office wrote in message ... Russ,
Thanks so much for responding to my query. I'm currently running Outlook 2007. I work extensively with Outlook Contacts and am looking to eliminate the step of moving the contact via drag-and-drop after it has already been saved. Instead, I was wondering if there was a command on the Ribbon that would allow me to choose which contact folder to save it to (a little like you can choose which Signature to use when writing an email). Does that make the question a little clearer? Thanks! Deanna That Office Girl "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: You can move it to another folder when you save it. Your choice: The Office button contains both Move or Copy to Other Folder.

Thank you, Russ. I believe this option provides a nice workaround by adding
the Copy to Other Folder (Move to Other Folder is not available from within a contact that's been emailed and not saved) to the Quick Access toolbar for quick access.
