Default Import data from MS Access into Outlook

I have my contacts in MS Access 2002. When i try to import into Outlook, all
the fields import correctly except the phone numbers which end up being
something totally different than the actual phone numbers in my database.
I've done the field mapping and still have problems. Help please.
