Default How do I export contact to .xls and retain the entire notes field

Good day

Am having a problem exporting to .xls file, the notes field gets shortened
we are loosing about 20 characters towards the end of the note.

Anyone have any suggestions pls?
(have tried csv, tab delimited, unable to import those into ACT! as ppl use
commas and tabs on the notes field)

Thank you
