Just for good measure I tried this again. The only folder it showed was
Offline Files, and there was no information there when I got it on my new
computer (also, there wasn't a default function I could use). Then I tried
making a personal folder file, and again, empty files. I couldn't find a way
to copy just the contacts.

One thing I did notice is if I looked at the settings for the offline
folders (what was originally there), it's set at compressible encryption.
Any insight?

that file to a portable media (Outlook must be closed).

Then go to new machine and copy the file to a location where you want to
store your Outlook information.

I don't know what you mean about "simply reusing your original PST".

original contacts are on a different computer, and I'm trying to
