O.K., I'm not sure what the question is here.
You can assign one or more categories to any contact. You can use the "By Category" view or arrangement to group those items by categories. You can even filter to hide or show certain categories. Have you tried assigning categories to contacts? What version of Outlook are you using? -- -Ben- Ben M.
