I moved the .pst from my old computer to my new computer and pointed to it
via Outlook FileOpenOutlook Data File Seemed liked it work at first, but it's not quite right. First, the Contacts: * Now Under My Contacts, 3 contact "files" are listed: "Contacts", "Contacts (backup)", and "Contacts in Personal Folders". The latter contains all my contacts, but the records aren't appearing correctly (the first and last name typically appears in the header of each record when viewing via Address Card view), and it's not possible to update a record. Help!! Second, for Mail: * I was able to move the mail, but a folder called "Lost & Found" appeared after pointing to the .pst. There are also a bunch of email listing that have grey text (as opposed to black) and are striked-out through the text. What does this mean and how to I ensure these emails are normal? Third. for Calendar: * Similar to Contacts, there are 3 calendar "files" under My Calendar: "Calendar", "Calendar (backup)", and "Calendar in Personal Folders". None of my calendar items appear in any of these "files." Where did they go? Thanks so much for your help!! |

i am having a similar problem. It's not similar at all and it's never a good idea to hijack someone else's thread. Start a new one for a new question. i move my pst file from my old computer to new, but everytime I try to add it or import it as a data file it tells me it's not a valid data file...????????? Do you have access to the old PC? If so, follow the instructions he http://www.howto-outlook.com/howto/backupandrestore.htm -- Brian Tillman |
