Default Behavior of 'AutoArchive Settings' using OUTLK11.ADM Template

Hello,

We have recently had issues with users modifying and enabling AA in Outlook
(2000, XP, 2003) and as a result we have had lost email items etc.

My goal is to turn OFF the auto archive function for all Outlook users via
the OUTLK11.ADM template. I believe they all have to be on 2003 clients?
That is fine.

At any rate I have applied this template on a local machine to test and
modified the policy to read "AutoArchive Settings" to "Disabled"

What this does is completely make the AA option in the clients Outlook
disappear. No longer there, not configurable. That is perfect!

My question is this...does this actually turn AA OFF, or does it continue to
run?

Thank you for any help you can provide.

The Outlk11.adm template is for Outlook 2003 clients, yes. The Office Resource Kit pages at microsoft.com had similar templates you can download for earlier versions.

It turns AA off.
