2 sets of identical Personal Folders in Outlook 2003
How do I eliminate the duplicate set of Personal Folders. Both sets of
folders are dynamic and live. Changes made to one appear in the other. So, I am afraid to just delete one set.

You corrupted your profile by migrating data incorrectly.

the best way ( I think as Russ) is to create a new profile, but you could also delete some registry keys.
