1) Delete messages without having to highlight them. I've tried
flagging them then setting a rule to delete messages flagged with that
colour but no resut. Mozilla mail has a column where you can click the
junk mail status icon and the message is automatically sent to trash.

2) Include a column to indicate the recipient of a message (I cc all
outgoing email to myself and would find it useful to have the "to"
column in my inbox instead of in sent mail, which I do not use.

Hi Brian, thanks for your reply. I'd actually replied a few days ago
but it doesn't show up here.

With Seamonkey, you actually don't have to select the message - just
clicking on the junk icon deletes it and presumably junk senders with
tracking systems don't see it as being read.

As you are obviously knowledgable about Outlook, may I bother you with
another query?

How can I get my signature to be automatically inserted when
initiating mail send from outside Outlook? Eg if I am in another
application or even an Explorer window, when I right click and select
"send to", the sig is not attached and I have to insert it manually.
There used to be a way to fix this in Office 03 but I don't know the
method in 07.

Sorry, another issue has arisen. My laptop crashed and when I next
tried to open Outlook I got an error message and had to do the
scanpst.exe thing. Now my inbox is called Recovered Folder 8082 and
there is no option to rename it. To get it named "inbox" again, is
copying it and renaming the new folder the only option? I thought I'd
best check before doing this in case there are further reaching issues
for directing new mail.

To the best of my knowledge (and there are plenty of other knowledgeable
people who may know more about it than I), sending a message from within
another program like IE does not use the same path within Outlook as does
sending a message from within Outlook and the path doesn't use the code that
inserts the signature. I also think you lose the ability to select the
message format.

I think you'd be best serverd by creating a new PST and making it your
delivery location, then moving the data from the old PST to the appropriate
folders in the new PST.
