Default Entering appointments in Outlook

I recently purchased Outlook 2007 and find that I can't enter appointments in
outlook. the dialogue box states that "the item cannot be saved to this
folder. The folder was deleted or moved or you do not have permission." I
previously had a version and installed the new version without apparent
difficulty but now cannot create new appoinments. the existing appointments
were all transferred over to the new version. I wonder whether anyone has
had a similar problem?

Try creating a new mail profile - often upgrades of Outlook do not retain the integrity of the profile and must be recreated. Use Control Panel-Mail icon-Profiles-New. Do not copy the old profile. Configure the new profile to use the current .pst file.
