Default outlook2003 visual bug: gaps in calendar view

Hi all,

I just installed office 2003 from the same cd I used a year ago for my
previous installation on this computer. After completing the
installation and online updating progress I noticed Outlook's calendar
view was corrupted.

It's only a slight error, but I keep wondering what causes it.

In month-view the black outlines surrounding the dates aren't fully
closed. On either side of the box there is a gap in the lines about the
same length as the height of the bar which is highlighted in the box of
today's date. Usually the gap has the calendar background color showing
through, in a few other occasions, the gap was closed with a dark-grey
line.

I'm using Office 2003 english, windows theme = luna.

Thanks

I don't think its corrupted but I don't have outlook 2003 handy to confirm.
Which color are you using for the task bar - silver or blue? are there
appointments on the dates with the gaps?

You are not alone..

There is a thread in microsoft.public.outlook.calendaring which is
discussing the same issue. It is only really visible when using the 31
(Month) view.

It seems to be related to a recent patch deployed by automatic updates?

I have 2 machines affected, the problem only started last week.

Thanks,

Steve.

It is a direct result of the security update to Outlook KB924085 Jan 09, 2007.
If you remove that update, the monthly view right border will go back to
normal.
However, because this update is related to security, I would recommend
leaving it in place until Microsoft comes out with an update fix.
