Default In Visual Basic, how do I access the Calendar Label color for appt

In Outlook 2003, using VisualBasic in a macro.
I'm downloading appointments (including date, time, and duration) into Excel
for analysis. I've modified the Outlook appointment Calendar Color Labels to
tag appointments as specific types of appointments. I'd like to download the
color labels (or better yet, the text for each label) to categorize the
appointments for analysis.
I cannot determine where the appointment "Calendar Color Label" property is
stored for AppointmentItems, and if it is accessible from Visual Basic in a
macro.

It's available only with low-level interfaces like CDO 1.21 and Redemption. See:
