Default Using Outlook client with OWA

There are occasions where I do not have access to the corporate network

(VPN) but can access my mail via OWA.

Is there a way to configure OutlookXP to retrieve mail from the
exchange server via OWA?

I know you can easily configure Outlook 2003 to check HTTP based mail
services like hotmail, but can this be done for OWA?

No.

Outlook to use RPC over HTTP to access the Exchance server, but I don't
know how that works.

No. If you have Exchange 2003, and OL2003/WinXP on your client, you could
connect using RPC over HTTPs, if your sysadmins have set it up for you.
