Can Outlook 2010 Read Outlook Express Mail?
Many years ago I was using Eudora mail client, then along the way I switched to Outlook Express 6. Recently I installed MS Office Professional Plus 2010, and was wondering if I can use Outlook to read / import OE mail?
I like Outlook Express because it has about 10 years worth of personal mail in them, as well as a pretty neat client to read newsgroups, all in one pretty light weight package. I know Outlook Express is not going to fly in Win7, but right now I am still in WinXP. I recently updated my OS from XP Pro SP2 to SP3, and wanted to install Outlook Express 6, it says it cannot install because there is already a "newer" version of IE on my machine (presumably came with SP3). Is Outlook Express and IE bundled together as one install? How would I go about just getting a clean Outlook Express 6 install to work on SP3? or should I attempt to use Outlook in Office 2010 to bring in the old mail? Thanks in advance. |
