![]() : : No virus found in this incoming message. : Checked by AVG - www.avg.com : Version: 8.5.437 / Virus Database: 271.1.1/2833 - Release Date: 04/24/10 18:31:00 : : Also Spybot, Sunbelt PF, Adaware. But I've had AVG checking Email for years. : Current problem started in last 2 weeks. : : Thx, : P Sigh. As has been pointed out numerious times, things can change in a hearbeat and the AVG can begin to cause problems. Especially since the AV updates itself continuously. There's only one way to find out. Uninstall AVG (you're using an outdated version, BTW. It's at 9, now). Reboot, and custom reinstall WITHOUT the email module. You're already protected with the resident scanner. The email scanning is marketing hype. : |

Changes in what it scans for, perhaps. I wouldn't expect it to change how it logs on to the server, retrieves messages. There's only one way to find out. I downloaded v9 weeks ago, was waiting to see what problems others might have. You're already protected with the resident scanner. The email scanning is marketing hype. AVG 9 is installed, w/o Email scan. Same message retrieve error persists. No difference. P "Law Without Equity Is No Law At All. It Is A Form Of Jungle Rule." |
