Default Errors 0x800CCC90 & 0x800CCC92

I am having the above error numbers appear. I have tried my username with and
without the @btconnect.com and have also deleted the account and started up
again and entered a new account. I have no antivirus running. The complete
error message is:-
There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was
rejected. Account: 'pop3.btconnect.com', Server: 'pop3.btconnect.com',
Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR Logon failu unknown user name or
bad password.', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error
Number: 0x800CCC92
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for your response. I followed the BT instructions to the letter but
the problem is still there. The only difference we had was that my outgoing
mail (SMTP) showed mail.btconnect.com so I changed it, as shown, to
smtp.btconnect.com but it has not made any difference. Everything was running
perfectly yesterday??

Please include all previous messages in your replies. It makes things much
easier for us to follow. Thank you.

Call BT and have them reset your password. Perhaps change it if need be.

You have no anti-virus? Get one. Microsoft Security Essentials is a free AV
and anti-spyware program.

Avast is good as well.

Microsoft Security Essentials:

Avast:

Download and run this tool to make sure your machine is clean of any Malware
right now.
