Default Problem creating new outlook express 6 message rules

Trying to create message rule and incurred the following:

First part of the rule got created when I identified/selected messages from
my address book

Second part asks me where i want messages from people in my address book to
go. I want them in email addrss but it wont let me select inbox it stays
shaded in. If I create a new box it lets me check it ok, but I dont want new
box I want existing Inbox.

Any help appreciated and I did try and use search to find answer, would
appreciate help from someone who doesnt mind dealing with an ignorant chick,
thanks

Hello. you need to choose from the browser that will come up when you click
on the option to put it in a folder. choose the existing folder you want
your rule to go in to and name the rule.

Have you tried creating subfolders underneath other folders after drafts?
YOu can do this in the rules dialogue or in OE itself. I'd try that and see
what happens.

You can't create a rule to send messages to the Inbox as that is the default
location. You can create rules to send to another folder, or only allow
certain addresses in your Inbox.

Message Rule to allow only people in my Address Book.

Tools | Options | Message Rules | Mail | New.

Box 1 - Where the From line contains people {check it}
Box 2 - Delete from server {check it}
Box 3 - Click on the blue words Contains People

Left click on the top address and hold the mouse key down and drag the
cursor to the last address. This will highlight them all. Right click on
them and click on From in the menu that appears.

Now click Options and Choose: Message *does not contain* the people below in
the top Options box, and choose: Message matches any one of the people below
in the bottom Options box.

OK your way out of the new rule.

Now, only addresses you entered will be downloaded. You will not see any
other e-mail.

Don't forget, if you add someone to your Address Book, you will have to add
them to the rule. It will not be added automatically.

Be sure to see these links for more options.
