Default missing .dbx files?

I've read the posts about going to Tools | Options | Maintenance
tab and click Store Folder. I see where the stored .dbx files are supposed
to be located, but the folders/files are not there. Are they there but
hidden so I can't see them?

Here's my situation: The Windows xp portion of my C: drive got corrupted
some how and now I can't boot from that drive, but my data folders and files
are still there. I installed a new hard drive and reloaded my O/S and
programs. I have the original C: drive as my D: drive now, and I can access
all my folders and files of data on that drive (D. I want to locate my OE
mail folders and address book and move them to the new hard drive, but I
can't find them.

Hi,

In Windows XP the Application Data folder is hidden, this folder contains
access to both, address book and .dbx files.

Control Panel | Folder Options | view tab | tic show hidden file and
folders.

Default missing .dbx files?

The messages I imported only go from 2003-2004. I took a look at the files
on my D: drive and noticed I have multiple .dbx files for each folder. I'm
guessing that the import brings in each one and overwrites the previous
folder, and in my case, the folder with 2003-2004 messages is the last one
imported. The .dbx files that contain my latest messages have a 2006 date on
them, so I know they are there. I'll keep playing with the files and see if
I can get all of the messages imported.

Default missing .dbx files?

Open Windows Explorer
Tools | Folder Optins | Views tab

Select "Show all files....."
Uncheck "Hide file extensions for known file types"

Now check the folder location again and make sure you are in the right one
as there will be one folder that is named Identities that will be empty
while the other contains the dbx files.
