Default Outlook - delete a reoccurring appointment, from "this point on"

Outlook should allow me to delete a reoccurring appointment, from "this point
on". Currently I only have option to delete "this occurance" or "the
series". By deleting the series, I lose the record of where I have been in
the past. What i really want to do is to delete from this point forward.

since any such feature won't be added to currently shipping versions, see
if http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/2006/20060110.htm helps.

Sure it does. Open the series and give it an end date. All the recurrences
after that date will vanish.
