Reminder alerts slow computer WAAAAY down
I have XP Professional and Office 2003. When I open Outlook and reminders
start to come up the computer slows to a crawl for about 2-3 minutes. This is even before the pop up appears. I'll see the reminder(s) appear down in the task bar, but usually not the pop up for a few minutes. If there's more than one reminder, I'll see the first task bar reminder button, then I'll see another task bar reminder button with a few more reminders, and I may even see a 3rd task bar reminder if there's 4 or more reminders. When the reminder pop up finally appears (2-3 minutes later) all the reminders are in the same window and it works like it should. The machine usually is back to normal speed by this point as well. I just installed a new hard drive and reloaded XP and everything and the problem is the same... Any ideas? Thanks
