I can no longer set or open appointments on my calender in Outlook 2003. Any
suggestions on how to fix this?

I'm not sure if this is any help but the other day I had the same problem and
a simple reboot corrected the error. Maybe an update is needed?

Buck,

That did the trick! I was out of the office for a day and rebooting for
some reason made it work again.

Milly,

Buck's idea worked! To answer your question, I could click or use the
command to add a appointment and nothing would happen. Also when I tried to
open an existing appointment, it would not open.

Thank you for responding and helping!

Buck's answer is the general one that we recommend to clear the situation but we are still wondering what it is that triggers the inability to add or modify appointments.

That is why we ask the additional questions about error messages, what changed in the environment just before it started happening, etc. Any hints as to common factors always helps. Of course, it could just be a simply resource problem in which case the reboot will fix it.

At any rate, glad you got it working again. If it happens again, would you carefully note the variables that could affect this problem and report back here? Thanks!
