One more thing - I keep writing that I clicked on 'Cancel' when exiting the
list, what I should have written was I clicked on 'No' when asked if I
wanted to save the chnages I made.

member or two (or more) from the list in question and then changed my mind.

You need to find and copy the *.pst file. I believe in Outlook 2003 it was

I should add that the contact in question always appears when I _first_ open
Contacts. It just never apears if I use the alphabet tabs on the right.
