Remove + from phone numbers

Store your numbers in full international format. Don't drop the + sign. Do
drop the 0 -- it is a dialing prefix, not part of the phone number. The

Why not edit into the correct format before importing? Put the contacts into

where ccc is the country code, aaa is the area code and nnn.... is the
subscriber number.

Problem with leading zeros in the area code in Contact's phone num

Simple. Do not enter the leading "0". It is actually not part of the phone
number. It is a dialing prefix.

A valid UK phone number cannot be in the format you give as your example:
