Hi, I'm using Microsoft Outlook 2007 to sync with my Blackberry Curve 8520 and I syncronized all the data to my computer sucessfully, Now I open my address book in MSOutlook, and it's all neat, I go to edit a contacts phone number field and change it from Work to Mobile and it changes the layout of the phone number. My original layout was 04xxxxxxxx and now its giving me (04) xxxx-xxxx My question is, What do I have to do to MSOutlook so that when I edit or add a new phone number to a contact, it stays as 04xxxxxxxx instead of being automatically changed to a format that I am not happy with. The address book view is never used to enter or edit Outlook data.
Masking of phone numbers is hard coded and has no setting the end user can use to change it. Why do you think you need to? -- Russ Valentine "eehan87" eehan87.47qmqa@invalid wrote in message news:eehan87.47qmqa@invalid... Then your problem is with Blackberry. As a data source Outlook must use a
consistent format, and it uses the standard format. -- Russ Valentine "eehan87" eehan87.47qwom@invalid wrote in message news:eehan87.47qwom@invalid... Go to Windows control pane, phone and modem options and choose the
international freephone for the country/region. There might be another country/region that will work also. Do not ever click the button to check the number. http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/2009/20090410.htm -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Do you sync your mailbox with a smartphone or pda? http://forums.slipstick.com/showthread.php?t=39473 "eehan87" eehan87.47qmqa@invalid wrote in message news:eehan87.47qmqa@invalid...
