I need to get data from a public folder into access so I can run various
reports on it and I'm working through the options. So far nothing has been particularly satisfactory so I have returned to ADO which seems the most promising so far. I copied all the items in the public folder into a personal folder in my inbox, and wrote VBA code in Access which set the view in Outlook then made a connection to the folder, ran my query and Bob's your uncle ... all the fields in the view are available including any custom properties. I then tried to make the same code run against the data in the public folder but the query will only select from a range of 19 standard fields. Custom properties are a total write off. Is this a known difference between public and personal folders? Can it be overcome somehow? Any better suggestions for achieving what I need to do? Thanks in advance Vaughan |
