Hi all,
A lot of new web 2.0 task lists do something neat. They parse the description of a task so that all fields (priority, due date, reminder, etc) can be completed just from the description. I.e. only one line of text needs to be entered to completely set-up the task. For example: tomorrow, send email to John, high, reminder 5 minutes before It's kinda like a command line way of setting up a task. Do any of you know of any existing Outlook functionality or existing Outlook macros that might mimic this behavior? Often, I can't be bothered to use Outlook tasks because I don't want to go through the hassle of entering all the data field by field. any help or pointers very much appreciated, Mindful |

I don't know of any utilities off-hand that may do this, but you can
certainly build your own add-in that contains your logic interpreter. Tools like Bayden SlickRun can be used to help automate apps and could be part of the solution. The only similar thing that Outlook does is for interpreting English in date/time fields. It can handle tomorrow, 4 days from now, 2 months 3 hours, etc. -- Eric Legault - Outlook MVP, MCDBA, MCTS (SharePoint programming, etc.) Try Picture Attachments Wizard for Outlook: http://www.collaborativeinnovations.ca Blog: http://blogs.officezealot.com/legault/ "mindful_learner" wrote: Hi all, A lot of new web 2.0 task lists do something neat.
