Default Suggested names in "To" field

When I enter names to the To or CC fields a list of suggested contacts
appears.
Some of these are redundant.

How do I edit the names that come up so that only the currently relevant
ones appear.
I have checked and the redundant names do not appear on any stored emails or
in my address book

Thanks

Sam
