"Outlook 2007", "PowerPoint 2003", etc. •What operating system you are using them on. Vista? Windows XP Pro? Windows XP Home? Mac OSX? •What specifically are you trying to do? "I want to create a document with Word 2007 as a form letter and mail merge addresses and relevant details from my Outlook 2007 contacts folder" •What, specifically, happens when you try? "Every time I try to print the document I get an error message that says....:" •What, specifically does the error message say: "The error says 'Error 12345 - Can't print the document because your coprocessor is out of memory.'" •What steps have you already taken to try and fix the problem? "I've already applied Service Pack 1, and I followed the steps in KB Article 3332222." |

Why would all that be necessary when i selected all those options to get to
this forum? Anyway, not to waste any more time, here are the details again: Outlook 2003 Windows XP And once again, I cannot edit the field. Which means that I cannot make changes to the field. I ope this is clear enough. "Gordon" wrote: "abnewallo" wrote in message ... I am not sure what your solution is. ... Yes Brian, the 'Allow in-cell editing' boxed is checked. Sorry, I was incorrect in saying that the 'Mobile Phone' field could not be edited. I was just repeating the user's complaints. A bit of frustration I suppose. But I am having a problem, and I checked it myself on my own system, with the 'email' field. As far as I can tell, the e-mail field can't be edited in a table view. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

You may be viewing it in a "forum" but many of us are viewing this in it's
native form as a newsgroup and none of that information is shown to us. That's not your fault, just a deficiency in the way the forums and newsgroups interact. On to your inquiry...apparently the e-mail field is not editable in-cell in Table views. I can't say for sure why that is though. -- -Ben- Ben M. ... As far as I can tell, the e-mail field can't be edited in a table view. My theory is that because the E-mail (and E-mail2 and E-mail3) field has properties and is not a unitary field. When you double-click the E-mail field when viewing a Contact record, you get a properties page that shows the Display As field, the actual e-mail address, and other data. Changing the e-mail address via in-cell editiing would disrupt that correspondence. Just a guess, though. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
