Hi ~ I'm using Outlook 2007.
Feel like a dolt, but here goes... When I simply insert the first letter of the person I'm emailing on the "To" line I get a list of email addresses containing that letter. However, when I click on the "To" button instead, I get my address book list ~ but most of my addresses aren't in there! I know the addresses are in the system somewhere (because they come up automatically as long as I put in the first letter on the to line), but I can't for the life of me find them to integrate them into the actual address book! Help! |

Autocompletion uses a cache of names of previous recipients. It has nothing
to do with and does not your Contacts. The Outlook Address Book (what you see when you click on the To: button) shows the electronic addresses of your Contacts. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Terri" wrote in message ... Okay - then how do I fish these stored previous address out (they're in there
somewhere) and incorporate them into the address book? "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: Autocompletion uses a cache of names of previous recipients. You can't, of course. That ability is far too reasonable and useful for
Outlook ever to provide it. You can only access the autocompletion cache using third party softwa http://www.ingressor.com/desktop.htm http://www.nk2.info/ -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Terri" wrote in message ...
