Boss has given me full rights on his shared contacts Outlook 2003,
I open his shared contacts in my Outlook 2007. I want to edit his default color Categories to put clients in unique Cetegories, but the buttons to the right i.e. "New", "Rename", "Delete", are greyed? Please advise, Keith |

only the boss can edit their Master Category List - I think that's what you
are asking about. If not, come back and explain a bit further. You need to make your and theirs the same. ![]() Additionally to Judy, if your Boss has OL2003, his Master Category List is stored in his registry. Your Outlook 2007 would store the categories in the mailbox, which your Boss cannot read, and he also has no way of seeing any colors without updating to OL07. If you want to have the same categories as your boss et vice versa, you may synchronize the Master Category List between different version of Outlook with Category Manager. For details and the download please see the link in my signature. -- Best regards Michael Bauer - MVP Outlook : VBOffice Reporter for Data Analysis & Reporting : Outlook Categories?
