I don't know what you mean by "send and then allow my assistant to change my
contacts"

So let's start with some basic questions:

What do you want to achieve?
Which version of Outlook?
What platform? (eg do you have Exchange Server)

I have Microsoft Outlook 2007 and we do use Exchange Server. Basically I am
trying to add/edit 4 of my supervisors contact lists on a daily basis. I can
view them (as I sent a request for them) but it says that I do not have
permission to change them. I am assuming it is just a simple setting that
they (not me obviously) have to change in order for this to happen. None of
them seem to know the answer either. Thank you!

Ask the IT people who administer the Exchange server to increase your
permissions. You have permissiong to view, not edit.
