Hello,
One of my users has about 550 contacts in their contacts folder. He is trying to add another contact to it, but it gives him an error message saying that the folder has reached its limiit and to contact the network admin. Of course, that's me. I didnt realize that there were limits on contact folders. His actual mailbox is well below our company limit. Any ideas why this could be happening? Or what I can do to resolve this? Thanks |

A Contacts folder should be able to hold at least 64K entries. What version of Outlook and Exchange are you using? -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

Hi Brian,
I believe I fixed his issue. I went into his Outlook and I went into the properties under the Contacts folder. I noticed that the field labeled "when posting to this folder, use:" and his was set to Faxcontact. I changed this to IPM.contact and now he is able to add and delete contacts. If I change it back to Faxcontact and try to add a new contact, I get an error message saying that the forms cannot be used and to contact the administrator. Can you tell me what the difference is between Faxcontact and IPM.contact? "Brian Tillman" wrote: WORLDe wrote: We are running Exchange 03 and Office 03. We used to have a fax software program called Fax Sr. from OMTOOL.
We no longer use that software as it is not compatible with Office 2003, etc. "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: what fax software do you have installed? -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "WORLDe" wrote in message ...
