Default Outlook 2000: Retrospectively changing order of "file as" in Contacts?

Problem: 600 contacts, all of them "filed as" "last, firstname".
They need to be "first, lastname". So I changed preferences, logged off
(as per suggestions on the net) and restarted, but still they remain
"last, first". Apart from changing everyone manually (impossible) is
there any other way to make this mass change?

Thanks

There are tools that will change the values for you. See this, for example:
http://www.outlook-stuff.com/compone...id,1/Itemid,2/

Many thanks - that worked well. I had to read the FAQ to discover why it
kept freezing though - you can't manage more than 30 contacts at a time
if using the "apply to selected contacts" option. I just applied it to
the whole folder instead and it was fine.
