outlook07: (exchange) public folder favorites contact, find

Config: outlook 07 in SBS domain with exchange server.

problem only occurs on 2 outlook 07 computers
problem does not occur on outlook 03 computers
problem (could be, not sure) occurs after a recently mircosoft update.

if I want to use the find contact function in
publicfolder/favorites/contacts I get an error and the advice to install
windows desktop search. This is new, the 2 office07 machines didn't had that
problem before. a search/find function in favorites contacts worked fine.
Strange is that the contacts in the mailbox doesnt has that problem only
the contacts in the public folders/favorites
the error message i get is
" instant search encountered a problem while trying to display result.
Modifying your query may resolve this problem"

(of course I tested the query with a contact that i am sure of that it exsist)
