Default Name in address book displays only the first 28 characters

Hi,
I am using OE 6 and win2000
Names in address book show only the first 28 characters
After this limit, 3 dots are appended (...)
I would like to see the whole name, without having to double click it.
Is there any way?
thanks,
george

Ask in an OE group. This is not one of them. This newsgroup is for support
of Outlook 97, 98, 2000, 2002 & 2003 from the Office family for Intel PCs.
For Outlook Express (OE) support try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.inetexplorer.ie4.outlookexpress for OE 4.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlooke xpress for OE 5.x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgro...-us;newsgroups
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlook express for OE 5.5x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgro...-us;newsgroups
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlooke xpress for OE 6.x
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgro...-us;newsgroups
microsoft.public.internet.mail.mac for the Macintosh version of OE
http://support.microsoft.com/newsgro...-us;newsgroups

If those groups aren't carried on the news server that's carrying this group
try using msnews.microsoft.com (MS's public news server that's the source
for all the microsoft.public newsgroups). The links under the newsgroup
references are for use with MS's web newsreader (not exactly the best way to
post but it works for some people)

Also a good source of Outlook Express info can be found he

Hi Russ,
thanks for the links, but the same problem also exists on the office version
of outlook, more specifically on microsoft outlook 2000 SR-1 (9.9.9.3821)
Any ideas on how to change this to the office version of outlook?
cheers,
george

That's because Outlook 2000 in IMO mode is using the Windows Address Book
just like Outlook Express.

You're still using Outlook Express' address book. Microsoft is just making
you think it's Outlook.
